    The Five Principles

What does your leadership look like when no one is grading it?

The inventory asks you to assess yourself across five principles of leading by design. Each principle contains four assessments.

    01

    Clarity

Are your priorities clear, and does your calendar reflect what matters most?

    02

    Delegation

Are you handing over decisions and ownership — not simply assigning tasks?

    03

    Accountability

Does everyone know what they own, what good looks like, and how it gets reviewed?

    04

    Rhythm

Does your week consistently protect priorities, planning, reviews, and decisions?

    05

    Developing People

Are you developing managers and building people who can operate without you?

    Your Baseline

What your total score tells you

The scorecard provides four descriptions of your current leadership baseline. Your lowest principle adds another layer: where to begin.

20–40 · Leading by DefaultYou're reacting more than leading — the gaps are running you instead of the other way around.
41–70 · Real Gaps, Real LeverageYou have real strengths, but missing principles may be covered by effort and hours.
71–90 · Leading by DesignYou've built genuine operating discipline. The work is protecting it as your scope grows.
91–100 · Firing on All FiveAll five principles are working together. The focus becomes scaling yourself through others.
Your lowest principle is where the work starts.

That principle is your highest-leverage starting point — the place to focus before trying to fix everything at once.
